FAQ

What are the best Fart Together tips for co-op?
Push in short bursts, call turns out loud before you make them, agree who pushes from which side, and start braking before the obstacle. Those habits show up in all three narrated Demo videos we checked. They are creator habits, not developer advice.
Is it normal to fail a lot in Fart Together?
In the Demo footage, yes. AlesGames counted 83 deaths in 42 minutes on one map and finished on his 97th attempt. OhSh4dow's on-screen counter reached 372 by the end of his video. Expect many retries, and treat each checkpoint as progress worth protecting.
Should both players push at the same time?
Not when you need to turn. OhSh4dow asked where the raft was going and put it down to both players pushing in the same direction, and PatchyZoneYT's partners kept calling for each other to push from their own side. Agree who pushes from which side before a hard section.
What should you say to your partner?
Count in the next move, name the direction, and say when you are low on gas. OhSh4dow's run has "3, 2, 1, turn", "get ready to stop it" and "I need to recharge". Short calls beat long explanations because the raft keeps moving while you talk.
Will these tips still work in Early Access?
Unknown. They come from the October 2026 Demo, and the developer says it will use Early Access to refine physics, controls and difficulty. Early Access starts on 29 Oct 2026, so check the Early Access guide after launch.

What do these Fart Together tips rely on?

Everything here is a habit that shows up in creators’ Demo videos, with the video and time given so you can check it. We have not played the game ourselves, and the developer has not published a strategy guide. The sources are four Demo videos listed at the bottom. Three are narrated, and one has almost no speech and is used for footage only.

The page works with three companions: raft steering for how the raft moves, the gas guide for the bar, and how to play for the basics.

1. Should you fart in short bursts or hold it?

Short bursts: every narrated video favors small, controlled pushes over one long fart. AlesGames says “the key is to do small farts” around 2:41 and “speed but with control” around 4:14. OhSh4dow keeps repeating “not too much” around 6:12 and “don’t floor it” around 8:44. PatchyZoneYT’s partners ask for “a little fart” around 4:46 and “slowly, slowly” around 2:08 (auto-translated captions). Short bursts also use less gas, covered in the gas guide.

2. Who calls the next move?

One player should call it, and count in before the push. OhSh4dow runs the clearest example: “get ready to spin… 3, 2, 1, turn” around 1:01, “get ready to stop it” around 4:08 and “are you ready?” around 5:08. Around 7:13 he even splits the roles, telling his partner “you’re going to have to be the one to stop us” while he leads. Short calls work best because the raft keeps moving while you talk.

3. Should both players push the same way?

Not when you need to turn: agree who pushes from which side. Around 12:30 OhSh4dow asks where the raft is going, notes “we’re pushing in the same direction”, and tells his partner to “stay on that side”. PatchyZoneYT’s partners ask “which side are you going” and call “fart from your side” around 0:00 and again around 2:08 (auto-translated captions). Around 15:10 OhSh4dow says he cannot do anything from his side and asks for “another side”.

Frame from Game Mode DH’s video at 3:25. Two hippos hold different spots on the rim, and the cloud comes from one of them.

4. When should you start braking?

Before the obstacle, not at it. The raft keeps moving on its own, so braking has to start early. OhSh4dow calls “push back” around 2:34, 6:12, 7:43 and 8:44, and adds that “the river will push us along anyway”. AlesGames says “we have to brake there” around 4:14, “we brake” around 4:44 and “watch out for the braking” around 5:44. PatchyZoneYT shouts for the brakes around 6:22 (auto-translated captions). More in raft steering.

5. What should you do when the gas bar turns orange?

Say so, and let your partner take the next push. The bar turned from about three fifths to empty in about eight seconds in the timed stretch we measured, so orange is not much warning. OhSh4dow tells his partner “I need to recharge” around 2:03 and again around 2:34, says “recharge, recharge” around 7:13, and reports “I’ve run out” around 15:40. A red rear is the visual cue: AlesGames says the farts end once the rear is red around 3:11. Full numbers are in the gas guide.

6. How do you handle narrow spiked canals?

Slowly: creators treat spiked walls and rocks as the places to go carefully. AlesGames says “that’s what happens when you run into spikes” and “we have to proceed very carefully” around 2:41. Around 13:23 he says “you have to go very slowly” through a tight stretch (auto-translated captions). OhSh4dow warns “don’t let the rocks hit” around 7:13. Frames from Game Mode DH’s run show the kind of canal they mean.

7. How many tries should you expect?

Dozens per map, going by the Demo footage. AlesGames says “35 deaths” around 9:33, “done this 55 times” around 12:12, “42 minutes and 83 deaths on the same map” around 13:54, and finishes “on the 97th attempt” around 15:28. OhSh4dow says they have been at it for 31 minutes around 6:12, that one obstacle took about 20 minutes around 7:43, and his on-screen counter reaches 372 by the end of the video. The counter and timer readings behind those numbers are in the gas guide.

Treat checkpoints as progress worth protecting. OhSh4dow cheers one around 4:38 and says “at least reach the checkpoint” around 12:30, and AlesGames says one “saved my life” around 6:22.

What is still unknown?

The developer has not published a strategy guide, so these habits are creators’ habits. Still open:

  • Whether the habits hold with three or four players on the raft.
  • Whether Early Access changes physics, gas or difficulty.
  • Whether a better steering setup exists than the one the creators use.
